Green-wich

{disclaimer}
this post may or may not contain a inordinately large amount of pictures
you have been warned.

A lovely day in Greenwich should be started in a lovely way:
aka a boat trip up the thames
 check.

the Old Royal Naval College is next where you ought to take pictures in front of its two lovely domes (thanks to Henrietta Maria who disliked the original one dome design because it blocked her view of the thames from her home)

one dome is the chapel and the other the painted hall, inside the chapel a darling women's choir was rehearsing and i really must say the acoustics in the building are top notch.  the painted hall is lovely as well, even without choir practice going on.
the painted hall

a walk around the college will bring you to the Queen's House
and the coolest stairs ever, aka The Tulip Stairs, which i probably wasn't supposed to take a picture of...
next take a hike up through Greenwich Park to get to the Royal Observatory and enjoy the view from the top:
then go check out the observatory, the prime meridian and reset your watch to Greenwich Meridian Time, in that order:
and that's a wrap.
