the best part about rainy days

Normally I'd like to have curled up with a good book while sippin' my hot cocoa, but today it was Streetsmart Financial Basics for Nonprofit Managers...

oh well. 

 

The 2nd best part, however, is that I've been ridiculously excited to use this mug since I got it for the wedding

(Dave has one too with a "D" on it...but I don't think he was quite as excited as I was)

Friday:

I flew into Long Beach Airport and it was drizzling

Sunday:

Went to church in a downpour and it still hasn't stopped raining
(note: it's 11:24 P.M.)

The Forecast:

It's supposed to rain through this coming Wednesday...

What's wrong with this scenario??

I just pulled out my knee-high plastic boots instead

On Monday.
Me in boots that is.

Because Utah weather has got me all sorts of confused.

They told me it was supposed to be cold.

They told me there would be rain and thunder and lighting.

I said okay.

I said I have just the thing for that.

So I wore these:

I wore these because it was supposed to be wet.

I wore these because it was supposed to

rain.

False alarm.

It was warm.

It was sunny.

And there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

ALL day long.

They lied.

Ergo I jumped in every puddle I could find just to spite them...

I've made it a habit recently of listening to thunderstorms on youtube while doing my homework...

today I don't need my headphones
